Address & Directions

The studio is located at 3213 N State Route 71, Ottawa, IL 61350, which is roughly 2 miles north of the I-80 on-ramp. It is a private farmette with several red barns. The studio is located in the second barn on the left when you pull into the driveway.

Feel free to park on the side of the barn or directly in front of the barn on the gravel. Please do not block the driveway and avoid parking on the grass if possible. The entry door to the studio is in the front of the building.

What to Wear & Bring

The barn does not have air conditioning at present. Please check the weather to see what the temperature will be at the time of your class and wear something you will be comfortable in.

We do have heat in the winter months.

Pottery is messy and some Clay and glaze can stain clothing, so wear clothing and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty. We will provide an apron for you to use. It is likely you will still get Clay on your clothing despite the apron!

If you have long hair, we recommend securing it to keep it out of your face while you work.

Remove any jewelry on the hands and wrists prior to class.

Bring a water bottle with a lid, ideally with a straw (you don't want clay in your beverage!)

If you aren't going straight home after class we recommend bringing a change of clothes for your next activity.

Additional Things to Note

Our bathroom is a small outbuilding near the rear of the barn, and is open during the warmer months. We recommend using the bathroom at home before you come, or swinging by the gas station near I-80 before you come if possible.

At present we do not have a waiting room. Please notify us if you plan to bring someone to observe the class so we can ensure we have space in the studio and chair(s) available.

Please do not bring children under the age of 6 to the studio. There are many fragile and/or dangerous items in the studio that are very interesting and tempting for kiddos to touch.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation made 8 days or more in advance will be fully refunded. Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to the class start date are non-refundable.
