Who Can Participate

This class is designed for adults, however we welcome responsible teens aged 13-17 as well. Children aged 8-12 may enroll as long as an adult guardian enrolls in the same class time.

Weekly Focus

  • Week 1: Clay prep and throwing
  • Week 2: Throwing
  • Week 3: Last Day for Throwing, Introduce Trimming & Surface Decoration
  • Week 4: Decoration/Glaze Prep

After the fourth week, projects will be allowed to dry slowly to reduce the likelihood of cracking or exploding in the kiln before being bisque fired to cone 08. Once bisque fired, students will be invited back to glaze or "paint" their pots during a complimentary Open Studio.

Students must glaze their pots within 30 days of the bisque fire or pots will be donated or discarded due to storage limitations.
